A smiling ken
Since childhood I have managed to make friends with people who are quite senior to me in age.
Not that I have an old spirit, but for some reason I manage to get along well with them.
Yesterday, I met up with one such senior friend. After having a work meeting, I stuck around
for extra chatter and a steaming cup of coffee. Conversation shifted from work to life and to everyday routine. It was during this ranting session that she asked me "so whats the issue? Why does a
rebel take over everytime a decent proposal knocks at the door? What exactly are you looking for?"
Had this question been posed sometime back, I would have been clueless, but life has taken a
different course.
For once, the question that had been posed to me more than a million times before, could be answered without thinking hard and hoping to explain myself.
All I had to tell her was that the waiting period is over...hopefully.
She kindoff looked relieved and said, "so how is this guy different from all the other million guys? what
is in him that caught your fancy?"
"He can make me smile", I replied.
And I believe that is what is most important, the rest just follows....!
Amongst all the other special million things...A big Thank you for being my reason to smile!
